We are a small limited company registered in the UK, trading with suppliers
and partners everywhere to bring the best t25, vanagon parts to the market
in our on-line shop.
Trading in VW parts started on eBay about 8 years ago. We found that the
goods we offered were much more than just the usual `useable` items you
find on the bay.
We gathered up so much stock that we could select the best and re-build
used items to a much higher standard. For example on our quarter light windows,
we offered choices in seal type and glass colour, but most of all we proved
quality by ensuring that the metal frame was in such good condition that
it was possible to remove the seal, unlike many old quarter lights out there.
Many of our used items also left some scope for DIY so the price was better,
as many camper owners look at them as a hobby and not just an RV. So from
this our sales and reputation grew with hundreds of positive feedback from
customers around the world. The work load increased to the extent that the
sales side has become a full-time job, over and above the garage repairs
and restoration work.
Our managing Director is Peter MacColl-Smith, and for as long as he can recall he has driven VW and German cars. A time served mechanic with classic restoration a speciality, having gone through a few Morris Minors and Minis, he found out that most of his time was being taken up by VWs.
At the same time years ago establishing a retail mail order side in the family garage/petrol station, selling all motoring accessories and parts including CB radios telephone equipment, with a qualification in wireless and radio telegraphy, extending the sales to fancy goods and electrical items.
It was way back in 1980, that trading with suppliers and motorpart wholesalers began. He has had his present T25 for 11 years now, as its gone through several colours and themes, having changed the 1.6d to a Golf GTi and carried out a full conversion to run on lpg eight years ago, many visitors to vanfest 2004 and 2005 may recall the `mystery machine` in the Avon hall and from the front of the programmes and a few VW mags. However things have moved on and there are currently 12 t25`s under his ownership, and progress is being made towards a 3.3 svx powered Vanagon.
The sales philosophy here is one of trust and honesty and ultimately reputation, one of helpful friendly advice and sales, all the legal jargon in small print is shunned, however it is reassuring to all that one of the companies directors is a lawyer, equally as easy going as Peter.
So lets see where we go with this web sales venture one thing for sure the aim is focused as 100% customer satisfaction and we all look forward here to being of service .after all the main objective is to keep as many good t25`s on the road as possible, thats our moto "Keeping your t25 alive"
